Constance (Connie) Braspenninckx was born in 1878 in Belgium. He immigrated to the United States in 1908 and settled in Ironwood, Michigan. He married Josephine Schillemans, (born 1882 in Antwerpen, Belgium), in Belgium. Currently I do not have their wedding date. Their first child was born in 1891, so I would assume they were married before 1891.
Constance was an iron worker and miner by trade. He along with his sons, were miners in the copper mines in the Ironwood area.
Constance and Jospehine had a troubled marriage that ended up in divorce after many years of physical abuse. Constance would leave the Upper Penninsula and would settle in Detroit. Constance died in 1944 and is buried in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
Josephine stayed in Ironwood close to her sons families and died there in 1932 at the age of 62.
